When we draft your estate plan, our goal is to ensure that your real estate is titled in your Trust. After our estate planning signing, we record the deed(s) and mail them to you.
But then life happens.
You buy a new house.
You purchase rental property.
You inherit farmland or a vacation property.
And that new real estate isn’t transferred into your Trust.
If you pass away, that’s when we end up in probate (i.e., in the courthouse) – which is exactly what the Trust was intended to avoid.
Let’s not make that mistake. Please give us a call if there is any real estate that is not in your Trust, and we’ll assist in transferring it into your Trust.
